About Us

Orchard Park United Methodist Church is a Reconciling Congregation. We affirm the sacred worth of all people and strive to practice Christ’s example of unconditional love without exclusion. All are welcome to participate fully in the life and ministries of this congregation. Whatever your race, ethnicity, economic situation, background or belief, age or condition of ableness, whether single or partnered, you are God’s beloved and are welcome here. God calls us to acts of love, grace, and advocacy to promote healing and reconciliation. We welcome and affirm our LGBTQIA brothers and sisters, sons and daughters. We desire to follow God’s vision to be a place without barriers, a sanctuary for all.

We Gather

Our worship experience celebrates God’s love, is spirit-led, joyful, and meaningful.  Our services engage all of our senses and provide a variety of ways for individuals, members and non-members, to experience and glorify God, regardless of where they are on their walk with Christ.

We Grow

We are growing as Christ’s disciples and invite others to grow with us.

Small groups are central to who we are, offering opportunities for members and non-members to grow spiritually, sharing their faith and life experiences, growing in the knowledge of God’s word, listening  for God’s leading and encouraging one another.

We place emphasis on meaningful membership and leadership development, helping each person discover and develop their unique gifts and talents for working with others to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

We Serve

As individuals and as a church we listen to God’s leading and direction.  We seek a balance between study and action.   We believe that prayer is the foundation of all ministry, mission and outreach.

We are inspired to build connections throughout the Southtowns in order to discover and address the needs of our community.

We encourage and support individual members of the congregation who are being called to ministry and advocacy within and beyond our local community.

With God’s help, a spirit of love and acceptance will flow through all that we are and all that we do as we gather, grow and serve with open hearts and open minds.
